With the 123rd Annual Tournament of Roses Parade less than three weeks away, Gift of Life Donor Program and Donate Life America are well underway with preparations for the event! Ring in the New Year by honoring donors and recipients on the 9th Donate Life America float on Monday, January 2. This year, the float is titled “…One More Day,” to symbolize the spirit of the gift of time that donation brings.
2012 will mark the third year that Gift of Life Donor program has sponsored riders and florographs featured in the parade. The florographs are memorial portraits-most of which are decorated by the honoree’s family members- to pay tribute to deceased organ, eye, and tissue donors nationwide. This year, Gift of Life will be traveling to Pasadena, California with local residents who will help pay tribute to organ donation awareness during the parade.
