WHEN Vikki Medlicott developed a devastating illness aged only 14 she thought she would never have children.
Now, ten years on, she is celebrating her own Christmas miracle after the birth of her second baby completed her “perfect family”.
Vikki was told as a teenager that her body could not cope with pregnancy because of the illness which ravaged her immune system and left her close to death.
But she has just given birth to her second child – James Michael – who Vikki’s partner, Steve Gaughan, described as “the best Christmas present ever”.
James is the baby brother of two-year-old “miracle” Jessica – whose arrival stunned doctors as Vikki was warned she could never have children.
Vikki, now 24, was struck down with autoimmune hepatitis ten years ago and was told that she would not be strong enough to have children. But her dream came true following a liver transplant when she was just days away from death.
