A Saginaw woman will be featured in the upcoming Rose Bowl parade in Pasadena. Amanda Thompson died at age 20 but she's still impacting lives today. Seen by millions of people worldwide every year in 200 countries the Tournament of Roses parade has been a California tradition since 1890. The upcoming parade will also feature a Saginaw native.
Jill Thompson says, " She always watched that Rose Bowl parade and for her to have a picture in it she would just be totally amazed."
This floragraph of 20 year old Amanda Thompson will be featured on a Rose Bowl parade float. Each year the Gift of Life organization sponsors a float dedicated to people who've donated organs.
Bill Thompson, Amanda's father says, " Its kind of an amazing thing. its one last opportunity for someone to be a hero to someone else."
