Grace takes the FilmLife Challenge

FilmLife Project has attracted young people with a powerful story to tell in our film festival: their own.

Grace, or Saemaema as she is also known, has been waiting for a kidney for two years. She is taking the FilmLife Workshop on 21, 22 and 28 January to help tell her story on film, and has been a huge support by recording a Community Service Announcement that will be played on radio stations across the country like our good mates at NOVA (you can watch a behind-the-scenes of her and Kate recording it here).

Let’s give it up for Grace…

What’s your take on organ donation?

I know that Australia has the smallest amount of people around the world that have organ donors. This was a real surprising fact.

What’s your film making experience to date?

I have had no experience in film making, except those home videos me and my girlfriends used to make when we were still in school. This opportunity with FilmLife has good timing in my life.
