Phil Van Stavern truly knows the power of Hope. At age 38 Phil learned that he had stroke level blood pressure. Only 20% of his kidney function remained. As single father raising two boys, Phil was very sick.
When the time came that Phil could no longer wait for a transplant, his brother provided Hope with one of his own kidneys.
Years later, Phil's grandson passed away in an ATV accident. In their time of grief, Phil and his family found comfort when his grandson became a tissue donor. Phil, his brother, and his grandson are Hope. You can be too.
