PASADENA, Cali.--The Donate Life America float featured in this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade held an extra special meaning for one Spokane family.
The float memorializes nearly seventy organ donors. One of those donors was 16 year old Drew Swank.
Swank was a Valley Christian High School student who died in 2009 from football injuries. His family donated his kidneys, corneas, lungs and heart.
Volunteers created Drew’s image in flowers for the float.
