A beloved teacher’s tragic death last Thursday resulted in the ultimate Christmas gift for four people.
The father of Abby DeBruyn, a 23-year-old Acton woman who died as a result of a single-vehicle crash on No. 25 Sideroad in Milton, says his daughter’s organs were donated to four others.
Larry DeBruyn said his daughter’s heart went to a young child on Christmas Eve.
Her liver, kidney and pancreas went to three separate adults.
“We were told (of her wishes) by her closest friend; they had discussed this (organ donation) before,” said DeBruyn.
“Her donation has put meaning to this senseless accident.”
