WARREN, Ind. (WANE) - Eight years have passed between the death of Wendell and Shari Brown’s granddaughter and the day the 17-month-old’s smile would shine for millions across the country to see.
Kyndall Brown, the daughter of Huntington North High School graduate Broc Brown, was honored Monday along with 71 other organ donors on the Donate Life float in the Rose Parade.
Emotionally torn between grief and pride, Kyndall’s grandparents watched the 123rd Rose Parade from their Warren living room anticipating a glimpse at their first grandchild’s face artfully designed into a “floragraph.”
The toddler died in July 2003 after choking during lunch in the care of a babysitter.
