Today, the Department of Public Safety and local lawmakers launched the “You and Two” program. When you walk into the DMV to get a new license or ID, you can now donate $2 to help educate people about organ, eye, and tissue donation.
In Minnesota, there are nearly 2,800 people waiting for a transplant. In 2010, 167 people died waiting for an organ. That’s nearly one person every other day.
