Dallas Mom to donate her kidney for her stricken toddler Jace Glenn

All Voices | Nina Rai

It all happened when Makenzie Glenn gave birth to Jace Glenn prematurely about six weeks earlier. Unfortunately, the baby was not expected to live for long as he had a medical condition called a polycystic kidney, when he was born.

Jace was therefore immediately rushed to Dallas’s Medical City Children’s Hospital. He was barely four-weeks-old when due to his condition; pediatric surgeons had to remove both of his kidneys.

Transplant surgeon Dr. Alejandro Mejia said baby Jace is suffering from polycystic kidney disease which is a rapidly progressing disease “He’s on dialysis, and has been for a couple years,” he informed.

Despite facing such tough challenge, the toddler still managed to prolong his life by three long years. Now is the time for him to undergo a major transplant to save his life. Both his family and doctors are preparing for this critical life-saving surgery.
