ON THE anniversary of her son's death, Dianne Connor would send a single yellow rose to the recipient of her son's heart.
Five years after his transplant, Terry Donovan reciprocated. He sent Mrs Connor a yellow rose bush to plant in her garden.
Her son, Nathan Westwood, died after a car accident just before Christmas in 1992. ''We had discussed it,'' said Mrs Connor, who lives on the Gold Coast. ''He wanted to donate his organs.'' Her son's kidneys and corneas were also donated.
