Lakeland HealthCare has joined the Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital Campaign, which is an effort to register 300 thousand new organ, eye, and tissue donors in the United States by the end of April. The initiative is sponsored by the US Department of Health and Human Services, and Lakeland's Maureen Bishop tells us that the organization will be educating its employees in the coming months on the importance of donating. She says that the need for organ donors nationwide is great:
