Daily Post North Wales | Kelly Williams
LEE Jones may have lived as a “shy and quiet lad” but he died a hero. You only have to ask the little girl who would never have survived if not for his liver. Or the 51-year-old who took up running after receiving his heart. Or the man from Bangor who spent his 30th birthday undergoing a life-saving double lung transplant.
All together, six people across the UK have gone on to live healthy and happy lives thanks to the selfless 22-year-old. It’s something his heartbroken parents, Andy and Jackie, take great comfort in knowing as it helps them cope with their own devastating loss.
Lee, who would have celebrated his 30th birthday yesterday, was killed with a single punch to the head after being set upon as he walked home in Rhyl from a rare night out in January 2005.
