MANY people will today be sharing a romantic moment with that special person in their life.
But one Sketty couple will be raising a glass to someone they have never met — or even know.
And that's because 30 years ago to the day, the mystery man or woman donated a kidney which turned Gloria Owens's life around.
From the age of 18, the former NHS admin worker began to experience renal problems, culminating with dialysis at the age of 32.
She then received dialysis at home for the next three-and-a-half years, until February 14, 1982, St Valentine's Day, when she underwent a kidney transplant.
She said: "Although Valentine's Day is about love between two people, there are other types of love.
