A special bond forged through tragedy

Caroline Gallagher wrapped up a whirlwind weekend in November: a Friday night high school football game, volunteering for the Special Olympics and selling raffle tickets for Central Bucks South’s lacrosse team.

The fun-loving, compassionate and seemingly healthy 15-year-old was enjoying a full life — until the following Monday night.

On Nov. 7, she slowly slumped to the kitchen floor of her Warrington home as her 14-year-old brother, Jack, sat helplessly across the table. Her twin brother, Jimmy, was upstairs.
