To meet this need, Donate Life America has announced its 2012 organ donor campaign to add 20 million new donors nationwide by the end of the year. Pennsylvania, through Donate Life-PA, will be working to contribute 150,000 new donors to the national goal.
Currently, Pennsylvania has 8,000 people waiting for an organ transplant; however, only 45-percent of the state's licensed drivers are registered. The goal is to increase this registration to 48-percent.
