A mother who fought a five-year battle for justice after her son was killed when his head was crushed in a grab machine in Bradford has revealed how his death has saved the lives of four other people.
Keighley construction worker Steven Allen was just 23 when he died on a Bradford building site in 2007 in what a judge described as a “tragedy of enormous proportions”.
His mum, Judith, has told how, following his death, his heart, liver and kidneys were donated to give others the gift of life.Mrs Allen, 46, told the Telegraph & Argus: “A girl who will be 18 this year was given his heart and three others benefited as well. I did not get to know their names, although I did get a letter from her.
