National Donate Life Month

WABI TV5 | Joy Holowell
Don Gross was known to many in the Camden community.

He was a long time Rotarian, Camden Selectmen and school board member among other titles.

But as Joy Hollowell tells us, perhaps his biggest service act came on March 15th- the day Don Gross suddenly passed away.
====
"There was never a time when he wasn't involved," says Michele Metzler, Gross' daughter. "He was on committees, he was elected to different town offices, he was always out doing things."

Don Gross was all about living. The 62-year old prided himself on staying active.

"Always eating the healthiest things, and exercising. He used to do sit-ups during commercials on television," says Metzler with a laugh.

Which is why it came as a complete shock last month, when the healthy father and grandfather collapsed while working out.
