ZANESVILLE -- It was a gut-wrenching decision -- shutting off life support, watching teams of doctors scramble to collect organs -- but Stephen Hennessy Sr. knows he made the right call for his son.
Stephen Hennessy Jr., 29, died Dec. 20 after a car crash.
He donated his kidneys, heart valves, corneas, veins, nerves, bones and tendons.
Not a day goes by he doesn't miss his son, but the organ donations give purpose to his death, Hennessy Sr. said, especially because he knows it's what Stephen wanted.
"It's amazing, that whole thing," Hennessy Sr. said. "You see these miracles. That's what they are --miracles.
