Berryhill said in a news release that he is an organ donor recipient.
Tom Berryhill, brother of Assemblyman Bill Berryhill, represents the Lodi area in the State Senate, but he will be in a Stanislaus County-based district when the newly created district boundaries take effect after the November election.
