
NORMAL – Secretary of State Jesse White challenged Heartland Community College students Wednesday to sign up at least 100 people for the state’s organ and tissue donor registry, giving this week’s campus donation drive a major push.
Heartland’s donation drive is targeted at students, faculty and staff and their relatives, and it ends Thursday. Its led in part by Heartland radiography students.
White visited the Normal campus on Wednesday and appeared alongside Heartland President Allen Goben. White said Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville recently did its own donation drive and signed up 150 people.
