FOX Sports Supports, FOX Sports’ charitable initiative, is partnering in 2012 with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise awareness throughout its 19th NFL broadcast season.
Now in its fifth year, FOX Sports Supports is the network’s on-air charitable initiative devoted to raising awareness, providing financial assistance and spurring volunteerism for selected health-related charities. Through public service announcements, verbal and graphic in-game and/or pre-game mentions, the network has helped to generate more than $3.5 million in donations and more than four million website visits for high-profile charities. In addition, the PSAs have received tens of millions of dollars’ worth of air time across all News Corp channels.
“Transplant families nationwide are going to benefit from COTA’s 2012 NFL on FOX partnership with FOX Sports,” said Rick Lofgren, COTA’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are hoping that when the NFL on FOX season kicks off on September 9th with NFL FOX SUNDAY, millions of NFL fans nationwide will also be watching how COTA gives hope and makes miracles."
