Dad dies after memorial ride for daughter - Australia

9 News - Australia | Ali Best
An organ donation campaigner who lost his daughter in a car accident three years ago has been killed in a motorcycle crash in Sydney.

David Gough, 61, had recently completed a ride around Australia in memory of his daughter Melody, who died in a car accident on Christmas Eve in 2009.

He was killed in a crash in Greenwich at 10.45am yesterday morning.

His bike was lying on its side on the edge of the road when he was found, a police spokesman told ninemsn.

The spokesman said it was unclear how the crash had occurred but an investigation is underway.

Mr Gough, from Cowra in NSW, began the Organ Donation Awareness Ride (ODAR) last year.

I was there when he crashed yesterday. I found this entry while trying to find out how he went. I'm sorry to hear that he passed. :(
