The family of a Peel Regional Police officer who died following a motorcycle crash over the long weekend in Orangeville has donated her organs.

Const. Ewa Domagalska, 30, was the driver of a motorcycle that was involved in a major collision with an SUV on Airport Rd., north of Hwy. 9, near Orangeville on Saturday around 4:50 p.m. She was off duty at the time.

Her family chose to take her off of life support Monday.

Domagalska had been with Peel Regional Police since 2005. She worked as a uniformed patrol officer out of 11 Division and lived in Brampton.

"I know she was highly regarded by her colleagues at 11 Division," said Const. Thomas Ruttan.
Peel Insp. Steve Dolan, who works in 11 Division, said Domagalska was "a fine officer who loved protecting the community she proudly served."

Dolan added that the officer's organs are being donated to save others.
