Kristine Neal of TransLife, Central Florida's federally designated organ- and tissue-donor program, said more than 400 people registered online Tuesday, with many saying they had learned about it on Facebook.

"Facebook has placed an importance on organ donation, and it gives the conversation another demographic of millions of users across the state and around the world."
