Bryan Donahue has nothing but kind words for brother-in-law Jeff Agli
There are so many things to quote from, so many pearls of wisdom, in a new book by Bryan R. Donahue.
Let me start by saying that as a proud Hamden-ite, I read every word of “On Borrowed Time, How I Built a Life While Beating Death,” by Bryan, a Hamden native who lives just over the line in North Haven.
The story is a tribute to his steely, stubborn will to live and to the wonderful support system that closed ranks and put him first so that he could overcome a horrific liver disease, survive a liver transplant and be able to tell us all about it.
Besides Bryan himself, there are many heroes in this story: the doctors at the Hospital of St. Raphael and the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, as well as Bryan’s wife, Lia, his parents, Bob and Milly Donahue and his bosses, Kelly and Jay McGuinness at United Mortgage Finance Group in North Haven, where Bryan is a mortgage broker.
