Donating an organ has been compared to building a mosque in a short film which encourages Australians of Muslim faith to discuss organ and tissue donation.
Both are described as an enduring gift, the benefits of which will last a long time.
Surveys have shown that fewer than 40 per cent of Australian from non-English speaking backgrounds have discussed their organ and tissue donation wishes with family members over the past 12 months, compared to 60 per cent of people from English-speaking backgrounds.
