Community completes Eagle Scout's project after his death

Dickson County residents came together Saturday to finish what one teen started before he passed away from a tragic swimming pool accident.

Caleb Holman, 17, died earlier this year, just months away from beginning work on his Eagle Scout service project.

Caleb wanted to build benches at Veterans Park in White Bluff.

Saturday, dozens of volunteers stepped up to make Caleb's dream come true, in his honor.

Caleb's dad, Mike, was grateful for all the volunteers that showed up to help out.

"For the groups to come out and come together, the Boy Scouts that helped coordinate to finish it, all the friends and family… we got people from church here that were close to Caleb and say, 'Hey, we want to help finish it,'" Mike Holman said. "So for us, it helps give us a little bit more closure."
