2016 Pasadena Rose Parade float will remember Shelby Seabaugh as organ and tissue donor

The late Shelby Rebekah Seabaugh of Magnolia, an organ and tissue donor, will be remembered in a float at the 2016 Rose Parade.

Shelby Rebekah Seabaugh, a 21-year-old tissue donor from Magnolia, will be honored with the display of a floragraph of her image on the 2016 Donate Life Rose Parade float.

The late Magnolia woman’s image will be one of 60 memorial floragraphs representing the theme, “Treasure Life’s Journey.”

Since 2002, floragraphs – portraits made of floral materials – have been created each year to honor deceased donors who gave organs or issues to others.

A slightly unfinished floragraph of Miss Seabaugh will arrive in Arkansas during the first week in December. Finishing events will be held around Arkansas before the floragraph is shipped back to Pasadena, CA, for the Rose Parade.

“Finishing events” are invitational gatherings that will provide the Seabaugh family and friends with an opportunity to add the remaining decorations to the floragraph. Continue reading
