PITTSBURGH — A young girl remains upbeat while her condition deteriorate as she waits on a multi-organ transplant.
Eight-year-old Kyree has a smile that can brighten anyone’s day, and she smiles a lot!
“She’s a very, very happy little girl. She’s enjoying life as much as can be,” her mother said.
You’d never know by her attitude that Kyree spends 22 hours a day hooked up to tubes. She’s waiting for a multi-organ transplant.
“I’m waiting for a liver, small bowel and pancreas,” Kyree told Channel 11 News.
Her mother, Nan Beachem, said her daughter’s condition is worsening. She’s been moved up higher on the waiting list.
“Within the past several months, things have greatly changed for Kyree, and it’s become a lot more desperate than it had been,” Beachem said.
Kyree’s brother, Nico, is also a transplant recipient.
