DERRY, N.H. — Last summer, Charlie Foote knew something wasn't right.
The fatigue, the back pain, the general feeling of being unwell, could only mean one thing for the 44-year-old: it was time for a new kidney.
Charlie — a father of five — learned in 2001 he suffers from IGA nephropathy, an autoimmune disease that slowly destroys the kidneys.
