'No regrets'

Calling all “Team Dylan” team members — get your camo shirts out and come ready to have a good time.

More than 100 Team Dylan supporters are expected when the Huron County Fair wraps up Aug. 22 with a bang at the demolition derby.

The life of Dylan Flew will be remembered during the event. Flew, who would have been 30 Aug. 9, died July 31, 2006, from a motorcycle accident. The 2003 Norwalk High School graduate died nine days shy of his 21st birthday.

He died what he loved doing and his motto — “no regrets” — lives on.

Flew, the son of Kathi and Russ Flew, was an organ donor and one of his organ reciepents will bring his Team Dylan team to the fair.

“We got a letter from his liver recipient when it first happened,” Kathi Flew said. “We were not ready to do anything.

“We sent a letter in October, eight years later, to all of the recipients. There are actually five organ recipients and three are still living. We have since met two of them. Continue reading
