It’s Jersey Day and more than 100 schools across Sydney and thousands of employees have pulled on their sporting jerseys to show support for organ donation.
The Gremmo family were at Oakhill College, Castle Hill this morning to support an early morning rugby game between Year 8 students.
The game was to promote Jersey Day but also to remember Year 8 student Nathan Gremmo, 13, who died after an road accident in Glenhaven four months ago.
As an organ donor his gift saved six lives including that of a baby boy.
His father Michael Gremmo said the aim of Jersey day was to raise awareness about organ donation and to promote family discussions about the issue.
