Special event to be held in memory of Oisin McGrath who died in playground incident

A special event is to be held this weekend in memory of a Co Fermanagh schoolboy who tragically died following an incident in his school playground.

13-year-old Oisin McGrath, passed away in February this year after being badly hurt during his lunchbreak at St Michael's College in Enniskillen.

The Oisin McGrath Foundation, set up in his memory, is hosting their first Run For Oisín 5k/10k event on Sunday, October 18, at 1pm.

The new 5k/10k route in Belcoo promises to be a fun-filled event for all recreational runners and walkers as well as a challenging and rewarding experience for seasoned athletes.

Following his sudden death, Oisin's family granted permission for his organs to be donated.

Since then, all five of Oisin’s organ recipients are enjoying newfound health and life thanks to Oisín. Continue reading
