TRMC recognized for organ donation efforts

Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) is recognized for playing a role in saving lives one organ at a time.

Tift Regional Medical Center received a Silver award for its organ, eye, and tissue donation and registration efforts through the Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital Campaign.

"This award was granted to us for encouraging our staff and the community to enroll in our national organ donation registry," said Carol Smith, Vice President for Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Life Hospital Campaign is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration. It brings together national partners, local and regional organ, eye and tissue donation organizations, and hospitals throughout the nation to educate employees and their communities on the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation.
