TEMPLE (November 17, 2015) A floral tribute to a Central Texas teenager whose donated organs saved several lives after he lost his own life following a traffic accident will be featured on a float in the 2016 Rose Parade.
The floragraph honors Christopher Jacobs, who suffered fatal injuries in the accident 11 years ago.
After he died, his kidneys, liver, heart valves and corneas were donated.
"I thought if he can't help people and save people during his life, then we're going to honor that in his death", his mother, Nanette Pace, said Tuesday.
The floragraph was unveiled Tuesday during a ceremony at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
It will appear on the Donate Life float in the 127th Rose Parade on Jan. 1 in Pasadena, Calif. Continue reading
