MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 UTAH) - If you could help your best friend live another 20 years, would you do it? That's what one Salt Lake City man did for his neighbor and travel buddy when he gave him a kidney.
Both Glenn Buma and Paul Neff spent the last couple of decades traveling with their wives and friends all over the world. Trips taken over the years while Paul Neff carried around a donated kidney from his brother.
"It gives you a new lease on life and an opportunity to get a second look at things," said kidney recipient Paul Neff.
All the fun came to an abrupt end just months ago.
"My nephrologist at one time said, "you're starting to run out of time," said Neff.
