A mother's last kiss: Touching moment mother bids final farewell to her 10-year-old son left brain-dead by accident after donating his organs to save five people

It's something no mother should have to do for their child - stay by their bedside as they pass away, as one Chinese mother had to do after her 10-year old son was left in a coma after a hit-and-run.

However, Chu Bingli, from east China's Anhui Province, and her husband made a courageous decision before their boy Chen Shuo died: to donate his organs in order to save the lives of five other patients in desperate need, according to People's Daily Online.

An image of the devastated mother kissing her younger son's hand before his organ donation at Linquan People's Hospital in Anhui, east China, was released to Chinese media and provided an emotive testament to her love.

The young boy, a fourth grade student with one older brother, was tragically struck and killed by a passing car minutes after he left the family home to buy cookies at around 8pm on November 28.

Chu Bingli rushed out into the road to find her son lying unconscious where he had been hit, surrounded by a great deal of blood. Continue reading
