BELEN, N.M. - Tuesday was an emotional day at Belen High School as an 18-year-old’s legacy was remembered.
Jonathan Madrid was generous and full of life, and his giving nature continued even after his tragic death.
“We just had that special bond, him and I,” Willie Martinez said.
When Madrid died this past summer in a motorcycle accident, he donated his liver to Martinez.
On Tuesday, Martinez and hundreds of the teen’s friends came together to thank Madrid’s parents, John and Judith. They signed the teen’s portrait and gave roses to his mom and dad. VIDEO, continue reading
