More than 1,000 people have now donated to the cause in memory of Stuart and Fraser
A charity fund has smashed through £23,000 in just four days, as people pledge money in memory of a father and son killed as they crossed the road.
More than 1,000 people have donated to South Wales-based 2 Wish Upon a Star after Stuart Bates, a patron of the charity, and his son, Fraser, died after being hit by a car as they crossed a road.
As of Wednesday morning more than £21,000 had been raised - £20,500 more than the original £500 target set when Mr Bates set up the page.
Stuart, 43, and his seven-year-old son Fraser, from Llanishen in Cardiff, were crossing the A4119 near Miskin when they were hit by an Alfa Romeo car at around 12.30am. Continue reading
