MEDFORD-- Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center is hosting the Threads of Life quilts from Donate Life Northwest. Four quilts are dedicated to the memory of those who gave the gift of life, sight and mobility. The quilts also celebrate the lives of organ transplant recipients and represent hope to those waiting for a transplant.

Emily Ratty has been on the wait-list for three years and said that the quilts mean a lot.

"Unfortunately none of my family was a match," said Ratty. "so I'm relying on a deceased donor from the national donor registry for my transplant so that I can continue living my normal life."

Each quilt is unique and is created by people who have been recipients of organ, eye and tissue donations. The quilts will be on display above the Rambling Rogue Café throughout the month of January. Continue reading
