Heartwarming gift: Pueblo native on road to recovery after life-saving donation

A few weekends ago, Alvin Thompson taught his teenage son, Coltin, to change the brakes on his truck. That’s a pretty typical tableau for a hands-on dad whose child is learning to drive, but it still made Shelly Thompson — Alvin’s wife and Coltin’s mother — weep.
