Organs of Brimley car crash victim donated to help others

Almost 2 months ago, Paul and Laura Baragwanath lost their son Jared in a deadly head on collision while he was driving in Sault Sainte Marie.

According to Michigan State Police, the 19-year-old was driving northbound with a friend on Mackinac Trail, when they were hit by a southbound vehicle.

The driver, 23-year-old Stacy Linklater, was arrested at the scene and charged with operating while intoxicated causing death.

Since Jared passed away, several of his major organs have been donated and put to use saving the lives of others.

While his corneas and lungs have given others the ability to see and draw breath, his kidneys have been transferred into a 10-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. Continue reading
