The parents of a Liverpool businesswoman knocked down and killed by a drunk-driver five years ago have today handed over a £2,000 cheque to the NHS.
Martin and Sally Walker gathered with Claire McKeown’s friends, family and former colleagues at the McKeown Rice Exhibition Space in the Baltic Triangle – a dedicated creative space named in memory of their daughter.
Claire, 32, who spearheaded Liverpool’s success at the World Expo in Shanghai, was killed by drunk driver Amanda Brierley in Norfolk in 2011.
Brierley was jailed for eight years after admitting causing death by dangerous driving. Continue reading
