Register as organ donor, urges dad of little Rosie

A family whose little girl’s failing heart means she is now resident at GreatOrmond Street Hospital is urging prople to sign the organ donor register.

Rosie Day, three, has been on the waiting list for a heart after she was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy last July.

But her situation became more critical after her heart stopped working properly.

Rosie, of Woodham Mortimer, was fitted with a mechanical pump known as the Berlin Heart at Great Ormond Street during a fivehour operation last Friday, watched by parents Barry and Sara Day.

She must remain there until she has a transplant.
