Doctors announced on Monday identified the woman who received the nation's first uterus transplant is doing well.
The woman, identified only as Lindsey, had functioning ovaries, but no uterus.
The transplant was completed late last month, and will allow her to become pregnant using in-vitro fertilization, so she can carry her own biological child.
