'I've been ill all my life but I'll never stop raising money to help others with cystic fibrosis'

Kim Hodge has cystic fibrosis
ON April 10 from 10am to 5pm in Manor Park Country House Hotel in Clydach, cystic fibrosis (CF) sufferer Kim Hodge will be holding a psychic and craft fair to raise money for the Better Life Appeal All Wales Adult CF Centre.

She has already raised £8,000 for the charity and is hoping the fair will help raise an additional £3,000. It's a cause that's very close to her heart: Kim, aged 47, is very ill with CF and is on the waiting list for a life-changing lung transplant operation.

With her body now in the final stages of respiratory failure it's a race against time to find a suitable donor.

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic condition in which the lungs and digestive system become clogged with thick sticky mucus. Symptoms usually start in early childhood and include a persistent cough. recurring chest and lung infections, and poor weight gain. Continue reading
