Mother of murdered teen said tattoo persuaded her to go ahead with his wish to be an organ donor

THE mother of murdered teenager Conner Marshall said the decision to donate his organs had provided some comfort, 12 months on from the tragedy.

Conner Marshall had been enjoying a weekend away with friends at Trecco Bay caravan park in Porthcawl when he was killed.

Mum Nadine, from Barry, and the family honoured the 18-year-old's wishes to give others the gift of life, after making the agonising decision to turn off his life support machine.

And she revealed how seeing his tattoo on his arm, which said 'Life Goes On', helped her overcome her reluctance to agreeing to the donation.

She said: "We had a discussion about it, and he was very adamant that if anything ever happened to him, he would like to be considered as a donor.

"I never dreamt that moment would come just two years later." Continue reading
