Son's gift to dad highlights need for organ donors Activist's battle highlights need for donors

DALLAS – A local playwright and activist is using his battle with kidney disease to bring attention to the need for more living organ donors.

It’s a public health awareness issue patients and doctors say especially impacts minority communities.

"Hey, we're getting ready to go," said Darwin Ragsdale jokingly to his dad, Rockne Ragsdale, in a video taken as they walked the halls of Baylor University Medical Center.
