Lyon County Firefighters asking people to donate life

FERNLEY, Nev. (KOLO) -- The North Lyon County Fire Department is joining forces with the Nevada Donor Network to promote Donate Life Month.

On Friday, April 15, 2016 the fire department unveiled special ambulance decals that call attention to Donate Life Month. The decals encourage people to register as an organ donor.

According to a Donate Life press release, 22 people die each day because they have not received a needed transplant.

The decals appear on the hood of the North Lyon County ambulances. They say "Donate Life" and encourage people to learn more about registering as an organ donor by logging on to the Nevada Donor Network website at

The decals will remain on the ambulances for the entire month of April. Story source
